Manage the day-to-day activities of USFCAM including all personnel and programs and provide leadership and motivation to maintain a cooperative and effective working environment for faculty, staff and students. Research and identify public and private funding sources and provide leadership for financial support for the Museum including grant applications, corporate partnership program and other fundraising initiatives. The position reports to the Director of the Institute for Research in Art and oversees strategic planning, personnel, programs, the permanent collection, marketing, and financial support of the Museum. The main campus is 26,000 square feet and includes several studios, a computer lab, and more.The Deputy Director of the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum is a critical member of the leadership team of USFs Institute for Research in Art, which includes the world-renowned Graphicstudio, the Contemporary Art Museum, and the Public Art program. The Carrollwood Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization located in Carrollwood Village. Art classes may include workshops that teach a variety of art forms such as creating a silk scarf, drawing techniques, watercolors, art and music combined, design, SUMI-E, mosaics, and surrealism. Subjects taught include art, ceramics, music, photography, theatre and more. Classes are divided into semesters that include Winter I and II, Spring I, Summer I and II, and Fall I and II. The Carrollwood Cultural Center provides numerous opportunities for children of all ages to expand their artistic knowledge.

Registration is not required for attending. Meeting in the Golding Scher classroom every, students may engage in creating different forms of art. The Art Spot meets every Saturday at the Tampa Museum of Art and lasts between 11 a.m.

Price: Free with museum admission – click here for schedule. Check ahead as some classes cover the price of supplies. Classes include pottery for toddlers, painting for children ages 4 and 5, homeschooling classes for elementary and high school students, and drawing. Times and prices vary and members receive a discount. Offering classes to children ranging from 4-years-old to high school, the Center Place for Fine Arts instructs children in multiple disciplines.
